Space Saver Scheme

In general, it is difficult to get a transfer because of the shortage of properties. The Space Saver scheme will help you move to a smaller CHP property by giving you higher priority on the transfer list and a cash payment.

For every bedroom you give up we will pay £1,000. You may qualify for this scheme if your home has 2 to 4 bedrooms. For more information please contact the allocations and voids team on 01245 613138 or email: aavonline@chelmerhp.org.uk

We have a limited amount of money available so we make payments on a first-come, first-served basis for each year.

If you are a premierplus member and take up the Space Saver scheme you can claim alternative benefits instead of the £1,000 to help you with the move. We can arrange all your removals while we treat you to a pamper day, or we can redecorate your home. Go the premierplus section of this website for more information.
