Chelmer Housing Partnership Charitable Trust will present a cheque for £5,444 to Chelmsford Council for Voluntary Service (CVS) to support their Funding and Support Bureau.

£5,444 equates to six months funding for CVS, who provide one-to-one advice and support to voluntary and community groups to help them find funding to run local projects and activities.

Allison Lofthouse, CHP Charitable Trust Fund-raiser, said: "CVS provides an invaluable service to the voluntary sector in Chelmsford. This grant will enable them to continue to support community groups and help enhance the role of these groups in the local area. The Charitable Trust is very pleased to be able to contribute to the continued success of Chelmsford CVS."

Chelmsford CVS works with over 280 organisations in Chelmsford including Neighbourhood Watch, youth clubs and counselling groups. By providing a range of services to support these organisations CVS acts as a focal point for the local and community sector to encourage networking, learning and the sharing of good practice.
