CHP Charitable Trust

CHP's Charitable Trust has now ceased to operate and will no longer be awarding grants as CHP, and the Trust, is undergoing a review of its operations.

The results of the review, and future community development and involvement will be published on this site in the near future.

Charitable Trust History

CHP Charitable Trust was established by Chelmer Housing Partnership in March 2003 to facilitate community development in Essex neighbourhoods.

The Trust worked in partnership with voluntary agencies to add value to community-based projects with the aim of improving people's quality of life.

Vision

To facilitate community development in Essex Neighbourhoods.

Purpose

The Trust worked in partnership to add value to community based projects to improve people's quality of life.

The Trust provided funding to enable projects to expand and grow over time. That way, both existing and potential tenants and service users of CHP benefited from the Trust's work.

The trust has four key objectives:

  • Providing youth facilities
  • Enhancing skills
  • Promoting healthy living
  • Tackling financial exclusion
